Let’s face it...Your loved one is tired of the same restaurant every week. It’s time to change it up, and luckily, we the Chamber have an array of places to choose from, to make your valentines’ weekend, that much better.

Publyk House- One of the more popular venues in Bennington, Vt, The Publyk House carries a big reputation with their delicious food. For a date night, Publyk house has everything you can ask for, a fireplace, great service, drinks and drink specials, and a tavern/lounge to enjoy an after drink meal. The view of the Bennington Monument can only add to your pleasurable dining experience. This restaurant is a must have for Vermont residents, but beware, reservations are a must!

Allegro- Open seven days a week from 5PM-10PM, this eclectic italian restauraunt has been serving tourists and vermont regulars since 2007. One of the only italian restarunts in the area, Allegro does Bennington justice because they proudly use seasonal ingredients from small, local farms. Allegro is the place to take your italian food loving loved one, for sure.

Arlington Inn- Only serving dinner from Wednesday-Sunday but this quaint restaurant that sits on an antique B&B settled around 1848 is Outstanding in every sense - atmosphere, service and food. If you are looking for a quiet, quality meal in a beautiful setting, this is the place. Reservations are a must, so book in advance.

West Mountain Inn- This restaurant uses locally sourced food, organic foods and food producers around the area. Chef Jeff Scott prepares local New England cuisine, and uses only the best local, fresh, and seasonal ingredients around the area. “Everything served is made with local farm fresh produce, free-range meats and poultry, seasonal game, Vermont artisan cheeses and home-baked breads and desserts”. Breakfast is served Monday-Friday 8:00am – 9:30am and Saturday & Sunday 8:00am -10:00am... Dinner is served nightly from 6:00pm – 8:30pm

Safford Mills Inn- If you’re the type of couple that is more into the savory cocktails, rather than the luxurious meals, the chamber has the place for you. Friday and Saturday night from 5PM- Close; Safford Mills serves an abundance of Crafted Cocktails, Martinis, Wine, Beer, Appetizers and Dessert, in a cozy atmosphere that brings the perfect date night to a close, stop by the Safford Mills Inn for some Southern Comfort, in Vermont.

Pangea- A beautifully kept older building, this restaurant is open Tuesday through Saturday. The very closeted atmosphere holds conversations close, which turn into a romantic and intimate evening. The fusion cuisine is one of it’s kind in the area and brings a big city feel to the Bennington area. The lounge is open the same time that the dining room is open too so you can polish off your hearty meals with an exquisite cocktail.

The Perfect Wife- Chef-Owner Amy Chamberlain is a superstar, not only does she run her own restaurant, but she runs it very successfully. The Perfect Wife is everything you look for in a perfect quiet dining experience. Your loved one will be blown away by the flowers and wonderful atmosphere this place provides. Live music on weekends is also an awesome niche The Perfect Wife has carved itself, being voted the #1 live venue in Manchester, VT. “The Perfect Wife Dining Room focuses on fine dining, serving entrees like Sesame Crusted Yellowfin Tuna, the most delicious Crab Cakes you’ve ever tasted and Grilled Filet Mignon with Roasted Garlic, Oyster Mushroom and Guinness Stout Demi Glaze. Barrows House Restaurant- Set in a building circa 1803, the ambience of this “gastropub” is the first thing that you’d notice about The Barrows. “Our menus and beverages showcase Vermont's abundance of local products and celebrate its farms and producers. These quality ingredients are simply prepared demonstrating classic culinary techniques offering guests uncomplicated seasonal tastes of Vermont”.Dinner is served beginning at 5:30 Tuesday - Saturday. Please inquire about seasonal times and special events. Dress is casual.

The Copper Grouse- This restaurant serves authentic and local cuisine, while serving some of the most delicious and unique dishes across Manchester, VT. And we do it seven days a week!” They have a newly remodeled dining room, a beautiful fireplace they’ve named “the den” and a fantastic view of the Green Mountains. You also cannot forget the extensive wine, craft beer, and savory cocktails that could please any drink enthusiast. The Raven’s Den has something for everyone.

Reluctant Panther-  This gourmet cuisine under Executive Chef Sigal Rocklin, offering one of the best meals in New England, and this award winning restaurant are just one of the numerous reasons to hit the Reluctant Panther for a night out. The restaurant, which doubles as an inn, has an extensive beer and wine list, and wonderful views of antiques, and the mountains. Beware though, reservations are necessary.

Ye Olde Tavern-  This colonial time piece restaurant will bring you and your loved one back to an eloquent time of “superior service and genteel hospitality” while serving up local and traditional delicious New England Cuisine. Ye Olde Tavern serves dinner daily from 5:00 P.M. with last seating at 9:00 P.M.. The Early Bird Menu, Sunday thru Friday between 5:00 - 5:59 P.M. (except during Holiday & peak periods). The Tap Room opens daily for cocktails at 4:30 P.M..
