The Coggins Auto Group & Fidium Fiber, in partnership with the Southwestern Vermont Chamber, invite the region to celebrate those that make up the Heart of The Shires - our nonprofit and community leaders!  This luncheon will provide connections, networking and celebratory conversations with those in attendance.

The inaugural Heart of The Shires Luncheon encourages and recognizes leaders in nonprofit, social, governmental and community positions, while highlighting the many accomplishments in community building, population health, civic service and more!

The luncheons location and Keynote speaker have not yet been announced, but we can’t wait to tell you!

Presented at the conclusion of the luncheon the Southwestern Vermont Chamber, Coggins Auto Group & Fidium Fiber will hand out the Heart of The Shires award recognizing the community organization of the year, the Community Leadership award, and the Lindy Lynch Volunteer of the Year award.

Keynote

Scott Finn, CEO of Vermont Public

Scott Finn's mission is one that resonates with our community, as he is dedicated to helping Vermont Public reach a broader and more diverse audience through the power of stories that bring people together. His extensive background in education, community organizing, and journalism uniquely positions him to provide valuable insights into the importance of storytelling and community engagement.

Scott's career journey is a testament to his dedication to public service. He began as a 6th-grade teacher, later becoming a community organizer and journalist before being selected to lead West Virginia Public Broadcasting in 2013. In 2018, he took on the role of President and CEO of Vermont Public Radio, where he played a pivotal role in facilitating the merger of VPR and Vermont PBS two years later.

On a personal note, Scott, his wife, and their two children reside not far from Mount Mansfield, where they enjoy the beauty of Vermont's outdoors, indulging in activities such as hiking, snowshoeing, and exploring the woods.
