SVHC Announces Centennial Community Day
BENNINGTON, VT—May 16, 2018—Southwestern Vermont Health Care (SVHC) is proud to announce the schedule of activities for Centennial Community Day, a celebration of its 100th anniversary, presented by Mack Molding, Jerome Construction, and The Bank of Bennington. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018, on the Southwestern Vermont Medical Center Campus at 100 Hospital Drive in Bennington, VT.
“Our first 100 years at Southwestern Vermont Health Care have been extraordinary,” said Thomas A. Dee, FACHE, the health system’s president and CEO. “The purpose of this event is to celebrate with the community in a truly memorable way and to thank those—our physicians and staff, our community leaders and local businesses, our donors and, most importantly, our patients—who have contributed to making this health system one of the best in the country.”
The day’s events are extensive and include activities for all ages. It is free and open to the public. It will be completely tented and will take place rain or shine.
“We hope that everyone in our community comes to this celebration and participates in the fun we have planned,” Dee said. “Then, we’ll look ahead to the excitement and challenge of meeting this community’s health needs for the next 100 years.”
In addition to presenting sponsors Mack Molding, Jerome Construction, and The Bank of Bennington, SVHC is grateful for the support of The Bennington Banner, Bennington Subaru, and others.
Attendees are encouraged to participate in Cancer Center Community Crusaders annual fundraising event, including the Cupcake Challenge, basket raffle, and vendor booths. Proceeds from the Cancer Center Community Crusaders’ activities support local cancer patients and research.
Event updates, including a map of the event, will be posted to svhealthcare.org.
