"Examine each question in terms of what is ethically and aesthetically right, as well as what is economically expedient. A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community. It is wrong when it tends otherwise."

--Aldo Leopold

Those interested in joining the Green Mountain Club may either join as an at-large member or they may join as a section member. Joining a section provides the member with the opportunity to participate in outings, organized trail maintenance, and informal meetings with pot-luck dinners. Section members receive a printed schedule and newsletter of section outings and activities 3 - 4 times per year. Outings mostly involve hiking, biking, canoeing, caving, and cross-country skiing, though other activites pop up from time to time as well. Those interested in becoming a Bennington Section member of the Green Mountain Club may do so online at the official GMC membership page and specify Bennington as the section you wish to be affiliated with. If you prefer, the GMC also provides a printable form if you wish to mail in your payment.
