Reg Jones, a Bennington Resident, expressed his sentiment that a airport runway extension should not be the highest transportation infrastructure improvement project. The Commission explained that the runway extension project was not competing for funding with other transportation infrastructure improvement projects in Bennington. The funding that may be available for the airport project is earmarked for airports only. Mike McDonough and others expressed the sentiment that the interests of property owners in the airport vicinity must be balanced with the needs of the business community. The Planning Commission should ensure that the community arrives at an informed consensus on the proposed airport runway extension. Zoning Bylaw Revision Project The Planning Commission discussed Article III, Village Industrial District and Industrial/Professional District of the proposed Zoning Bylaw revisions. The meeting was adjourned at 7:00 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Daniel W. Monks Zoning Administrator K:\Building & Zoning\Dan\Planning Commission\MINUTES\2002\PC-01-08-02-Minutes.wpd
