                    Members Present:    Barry Horst - Chair, Bob Burgess - Clerk, Michael McDonough
                    Also Present:       Dan Monks, Zoning Administrator
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 p.m.
Minutes of August 23, 2001
     Bob Burgess moved to accept the minutes as printed
     Michael McDonough seconded the motion
     The Motion passed unanimously

     Michael McDonough moved to accept the minutes as presented
     Bob Burgess seconded the motion

Zoning Bylaw Revision Project
          Outline for Reorganization of Zoning Bylaw.  The Planning commission discussed the      outline for Reorganization.  By consensus, the Planning Commission accepted in concept,      the Reorganization Outline as proposed by Burnt Rock, Inc. with several comments and      suggestions.  (See attached memorandum to Brian Shupe)..
          Adult entertainment and Product Sales - Zoning Issues.  The Planning Commission      discussed the issue of adult entertainment and adult product sales.  By consensus, the      Planning Commission agreed that such uses should be regulated and that the Zoning      Administrator should request that Burnt Rock, Inc. develop options regarding methods for      dealing with this difficult issue.
Scheduling Next Work Session
          The Planning Commission agreed that the Planning Commission's next meeting will be      October 10, 2001.
