                           MINUTES
                               
                        April 30, 2001

                     Town Office Building
         205 South Street, Bennington, Vermont 05201
                               
  
                      Members Present:    Don Hicks - Chair, Bob Burgess - Clerk,  Barry Horst,
                 Michael McDonough, Sharon Yorke
  
                      Also Present:       Dan Monks, Zoning Administrator
                 Michael Lochner, newly appointed Planning Commission member
                 Brian Shupe, Planning Consultant
                 Sharon Murray, Planning Consultant
  
  
            Brian and Sharon discussed the process they proposed for revising the Bylaw. 
  
            The Planning Commission members and the Zoning Administrator discussed their
       opinion about the current short comings of the Bylaw and proposed revisions in
       general.
  
            The Planning Commission members, the Zoning Administrator and the Planning
       Consultants then toured the Downtown area by foot and toured the rest of the Town
       in a van. 
  
            The tour was followed by a brief discussion regarding the next steps in the Bylaw
       revision project. 
  
  
  The meeting was adjourned at approximately 6:15 p.m.
