Bennington Historic Preservation Commission Meeting October 21, 2010 - 1:30 pm Present: Meg Campbell, Anne Bugbee, and Scott Murphy. 1. Minutes The minutes from September 30, 2010 meeting were approved. 2. DRB A follow up to last month's application for vinyl siding at 236 Union Street was requested. Dan Monks reported that the DRB approved the request because other nearby houses had vinyl siding and the homeowner was only covering the clapboards. Dan also mentioned that the HPC had an opportunity to review the plans for the former Chittenden Bank drive-through when the plans were sent to the members via email and Jeff responded with written comments. 3 CLG Discussion Possible CLG grant application projects were discusses with the following ideas mentioned: - Possible educational partnership with the museum, - Possible Roundable with BBC regarding R.E. salespeople as an educational forum, - Historical survey for Pleasant Street. These and other ideas will be discussed at the next meeting. 4 Other Preservation Issues Copies of Paula Sagerman's National Register Expansion Report should be distributed to the local libraries and the museum.
