Bennington Historic Preservation Commission 
                 Meeting July 16, 2008, 2:30 pm 
Present: Meg Campbell, Anne Bugbee, and Scott Murphy.
Excused: Laura Gresh, Jeff Goldstone  
1. Minutes
The minutes from June 18, 2008 were presented and approved.
2. DRB - There were not any signs or issues discussed.   
3. Review of Spectrum Design Website Project
Meg sent each commission member a link to the rough draft of the website. The members discussed the site and offered corrections and /or comments. Meg will send out another note to everyone asking for a final review of the site so that we can finally go "live".
3. Community Meeting Updates 
None were discussed.
4. Other Preservation Issues -Anne brought in numerous pictures of the covered bridges in Town. The Paper Mill Bridge was of particular concern. The new owner of the adjacent Paper Mill has put up a stockade-type wooden fence which inhibits the view of the waterfall near the bridge. After much discussion, it was decided to send Dan Monks and the DRB a letter stating our opposition to the fence and to the proposed bridge window restrictions. Meg will draft the letter for the HPC.
