                   November 14, 2007 MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT: Meg Campbell, Tordis Ilg Isselhardt, Anne Bugbee, Laura Gresh and Scott Murphy.
Also Present: Beth Antognioni
1. Minutes of October 30, 2007 - Minutes were approved with the following amendment below:
Item 5. Other Preservation Issues - Anne and Laura will attend the BBC annual meeting.  Tordis is also considering attending.  All members should be on the lookout for possible new, qualified people for the commission.  
2. DRB - no agenda items. 
HPC questioned work that was previously completed on two projects that came before the HPC.   Update  1). The Benn. Butcher, grocer bagel shop was thought to have had work done that was not in the originally approved plans.  Scott questioned Dan Monks about this and all construction inside & outside of the building was completed per the plans.  Dan said that some minor landscaping work was not completed but will be done in the spring.  2). Tally's Restaurant was completed according to approved plans.  Scott will have the plans available for HPC to review at the next meeting,   HPC will make notes and submit any comments to the DRB.  If time permits, Laura will take photographs of the two projects and forward the photos via email to all members.
3. CLG -07-2RFP Grant Discussion- Laura distributed the draft of the Invitation to Consultants to everyone, HPC members will look at it one last time and forward their comments to Laura by email or bring their comments to the next meeting 11/27/07.
4. CLG National Register Expansion Review - The public hearing will be the 1st week in December.  Scott will invite Paula to attend the public hearing.  Update - Paula is halfway done on the Statement of Significance and is hoping to have it completed for the next HPC meeting.  Everyone should have all of their comments at the next meeting 11/27/07.
5. Community Meeting Updates - Anne, Tordis and Laura attended the BBC Dinner at the newly renovated Tally's Restaurant at Bennington Station.Anne and Tordis attended the Fountain Meeting.  Laura and Meg will look to see if they have a contact of someone who does cast iron restoration.  Laura and Meg will forward any information they have to HPC.
A discussion involving the process of expanding the membership of HPC came up.   Scott will look into the status of expanding the membership of HPC, he will update HPC at the next meeting on 11/27/07.                        Next Meeting Dates:
