                   September 26, 2007 MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT: Meg Campbell, Tordis Ilg Isselhardt and Scott Murphy
Absent: Laura Gresh, Anne Bugbee

1. Minutes of August 8, 2007 -Minutes were approved with the following amendment:
Item 6.
The question came up - Doesn't HPC have a role to play in identifying issues in the possibility of relocating the State offices downtown?   
2. DRB -
Sign Permit - 124 Pleasant Street Town of Bennington Senior Center
There was no picture submitted with the application.  As a reminder to the DRB, it is greatly appreciated when the picture of the building is available.  Sign was approved as submitted. 
3. CLG Grant Application Discussion -We have received  the Grant agreement, and now HPC needs to work on getting an RFP sent out.  Also, we will be adding the CLG National Register Expansion Draft discussion on the next Agenda, HPC would like most of their members available for this discussion. Beth will send out a reminder email to HPC members to have comments ready for the next meeting on the Draft that was presented.  If members will not be in attendance, their comments should be emailed to Beth before the meeting on October 10.
4. Community Meeting Updates  - 
Bob Stannard, BBC Director is leaving his position as of December 1.  Previously, Scott and Stuart were on the Selection Committee to hire a Director for BBC, and both will serve again on the Selection Committee.  We will add the following discussion item to the next HPC agenda when more members can be available for discussion - HPC Workplan Discussion.
5. GIS Mapping - Preserve America Grant - 
No update
6. Other Preservation Issues
SVC is applying for a Preservation Grant for a new roof on their Everett Mansion Carriage House.  HPC is offering their support and Meg will draft a letter of support.
