DRB - No agenda items. 3. Making Defensible Decisions (website) HPC members viewed other Town/City websites for examples of how they include/layout Historic Preservation on their websites. Tordis printed a few examples out to share with members and for discussion. One site that HPC made note of was Burlington, NJ. Beth noted that the Town does have an employee who can make links and small changes to the website, in the past, the Town has used an outside vendor to design certain areas of the website. Discussion involved possibly hiring out for the design and creation of HPC pages to be added as a link to the website, this would involve applying for a CLG grant, one other option discussed was having a few HPC members design and create their own pages ready for loading onto the website. Beth will have Scott invite Skip Thomayer to the next HPC meeting for a brief discussion on what it might entail if HPC were to create the pages and also to find out what types of programs are necessary for compatibility. Action Item: Beth will ask Scott to invite Skip Thomayer to the next HPC meeting Wednesday, July 11, 2007- 2:30 p.m. Meg also wondered when the next round of CLG grants are due: Action Item: Beth will obtain CLG grant deadline information for next meeting and email Meg. Action Item: HPC members will continue to view other websites for additional ideas. 4. Community Meeting Updates There were no updates. As of June 30, 2007 Meg will no longer be on the BBC Board or the Design Committee. Meg will continue to communicate with the BBC Director on preservation issues. 5. Application to the Historic Preservation Commission Additional comments/suggestions were made, Meg will incorporate the changes and email members one last time before forwarding onto Dan Monks. 6. Other Preservation Issues The Vermont History Expo was well attended by members of HPC. Meg requested from Beth to ask Scott for a status update as to when Paula Sagerman will be starting the 2007 CLG project. Meg also suggested that Paula attend the next HPC meeting to begin initial discussions. Action Item: Beth to ask Scott for an update regarding the status of Paula beginning the 2007 CLG project and inviting her to the next HPC meeting. Anne Bugbee was interviewed by the Select Board and was reappointed to HPC. Discussion involved communication between HPC and the Select Board, it was suggested that HPC include their minutes in the Select Board Packet. Meg asked Beth to make sure the Minutes would be provided for future Select Board Packets. Action Item: Beth to provide the minutes for future Select Board Packets.
