                      May 14, 2007 MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT:  Tordis Ilg Isselhardt, Scott Murphy and Meg Campbell.
Absent: Laura Gresh
ALSO PRESENT:  Town of Bennington Planning Director, Daniel W. Monks, and Beth Antognioni.
Robin James representing Norm Greenberg & General Contractor-John Carpenter
1. Minutes of April 25 & April 30, 2007
Minutes were approved as written.
2. DRB - Secor/Bennington Station Platform - Second Review
Robin James proposed general facade maintenance work to the Winslow building that general contractor John Carpenter would perform.  HPC was not opposed to the proposed work.       
3. HPC Members Discussion
HPC continued discussion on adding  one new member to HPC.  Action Item: Meg will ask a member of the Bennington community to submit a letter of intent to the Select Board.  
4. Making Defensible Decisions
Tordis suggested to add a link "Making Defensible Decisions" to the Town of Bennington's website on the Forms & Documents Page.  Meg will provide Beth with the link.  All HPC members viewed the website for appropriate placement for the link, in viewing the website, Tordis had some comments regarding the website that she will submit in writing to the Town Manager.
5. Work on Historic District Checklist  
Scott provided HPC with a draft checklist of items that will be handed to everyone who applies for a permit within the Design Review District.  Meg wrote down the changes/comments that HPC members had and she will update the checklist and share with HPC members and Dan Monks, Planning Director.
6. Community Meeting Updates
There were no updates, BBC had not met. 
7. Other Preservation Issues
HPC is on the Select Board Agenda for June 11.  Meg will make a ten minute presentation to the Select Board, other HPC members will be in attendance.  The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m., the Agenda has not been set, however it will be at the beginning of the Agenda.
HPC received the Window Assessment of the Bennington Town Offices from S.A. Fishburn, Inc., HPC members will review the report and discuss at the next meeting.
Scott will invite Bob Stannard to the next HPC meeting.
