BENNINGTON HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Bennington town Office Conference Room Wednesday, June 7, 2006 MINUTES MEMBERS PRESENT: Meg Campbell, Laura Gresh, Tordis Ilg Isselhardt, Anne Bugbee, John Dostal, Victor Rolando and Scott Murphy. Also Present: Ed Bove, Director of RAHC 1. Minutes of May 17, 2006 Laura Gresh motioned and Meg Campbell seconded to approve the minutes of May 17, 2006. 2. RAHC - Ed Bove Ed Bove, Director of RAHC attended the HPC meeting to introduce himself to HPC members, and also to communicate with HPC on some projects they will be working on: They will be renovating the School Street building across from the Bennington Potters, this building is on the State Register, and RAHC is working on getting listing it on the National Register for Historic Preservation Tax Credits. RAHC will also be renovating their building at 302 South Street next to Friendly's. 3. DRB Tea ‘N Tarts - 512 Main Street HPC approved the sign permit application as presented. Unanimous. Adelpha Omega Ministries - 201A South Street HPC approved the sign permit application. Unanimous. Chittenden Bank - Windows Chittenden Bank delivered an additional sample window, however there was no representative from Chittenden to offer any presentation. 4. CLG Update Crae Printing and Mailing should have the printing of "Time and Place" completed within a day or two. 5. Other Preservation Issues Meg suggested we schedule the next HPC meeting to focus on a HPC workplan. Meg will work on a draft of the workplan to submit.
