                               MINUTES
MEMBERS PRESENT: Anne Bugbee,  Meg Campbell, John Dostal, David Aldrich, and Bill
Colvin.
MEMBERS EXCUSED: Tordis Ilg Isselhardt, and Sharon Yorke. 
1.   Minutes of April 27, 2005
Minutes of April 27, 2005 were approved as presented.  Passed unanimously. 
2.   DRB
American Red Cross - Bus Hut Northeast corner of Pleasant and School Street
Campbell made a motion to approve the permit application as presented, Dostal seconded.  Passed unanimously.
3.   National Register Nomination - Bennington High School
HPC members reviewed the National Register Nomination for the Bennington High School, Final Review Report will be completed on 6/15/05.  Members should review the information provided by the United States Department of the Interior "National Register of Historic Places Form" for any historic discrepancies or errors and bring changes to the meeting of 6/15/05. 
4.   2005 Historic Preservation Conference - Recap
Campbell thanked everyone for their participation in the successful 2005 Historic Preservation Conference, she has received positive feedback from various groups.
5.   Other Preservation Issues
Scott Murphy will be replacing Bill Colvin as the new Director of Economic and Community Development, he will assume the role of Secretary for the HPC.  Bill's last HPC meeting is today.  Colvin will set up a meeting with Campbell to introduce Murphy and provide some history of the HPC to him as well. 
Campbell noted, Bobby Alston will be coming to the 6/15/05 meeting to discuss the Stone Church in North Bennington.
Final CLG Report for Division is due December31, 2005.  Need to send out Request for Proposals to consultants and have a consultant hired by 7/15/05.  Need to work on RFP.  Next Agenda need to discuss addendum, identify components to redo, determine background, character & style.
