Minutes of September 15, 2004 Rolando moved, Bugbee seconded the Minutes of September 15, 2004 be approved as presented. Unanimous. 2. DRB At its meeting of September 29, 2004, the Bennington Historic Preservation Commission reviewed four projects scheduled to come before the Development Review Board on October 5, 2004. • Wills Insurance (116 South Street) Due to the age of the Wills Building at the time of the "Sites and Structures Survey", the building is noted in the survey as "not historic". The building is, however, a significant feature of the South Street streetscape. Because the building is not historic, the strictest of guidelines need not be applied to the proposed replacement of windows. It would be the HPC's preference, however, that the replacement windows be made of wood (aluminum-clad or vinyl-clad would be acceptable) and that any divided lights consist of externally-applied dividers. • CRAE Printing (108 Union Street) The submitted information was not sufficient to determine the appropriateness of the proposed new signage. Without a color reproduction and additional information regarding style and placement of sign mounting, the HPC could not pass on a recommendation. • CB Sports (190 North Street) The HPC had no concerns with the proposed ancillary sign at CB Sports • Po Mat Lee (460 Main Street) The building at 460 Main Street is not historic. The HPC had no concerns with the proposed block addition. 3. Plaque Program Erie Landmark is working on the form and should have it available for HPC to review in about three weeks. 4. At Risk Sites & Structures Bugbee noted the Lyons farmhouse on East Road next to the New Middle School. Bugbee will fill out an At Risk Sites & Structures form for our records. 5. 2005 Historic Preservation Conference The first meeting to plan the Conference was September 17, 2004, Campbell will provide an update at the October 27th meeting. 1.
