BENNINGTON HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION Town Office Conference Room Wednesday, November 12, 2003 - 3:00 p.m. MINUTES MEMBERS PRESENT: Meg Campbell, Anne Bugbee, Victor Rolando, John Dostal, Sharon Yorke, David Aldrich, and William B. Colvin. Yorke called the meeting to order at 3:03 p.m. 1. Minutes Dostal moved, Rolando seconded the Minutes of October 29, 2003 be approved as presented. Unanimous. 2. HPC Priorities List • Colvin will draft the HPC Priorities Matrix for the next 12 months and send it out to members before the next meeting. • It was discussed that HPC needs to meet with the Select Board in March and talk about projects that have been completed. 3. CLG Discussion Colvin suggested the following project to submit for the 2004 CLG Grant Application: • Analyze and update "Time and Place" to insure its consistency with the new zoning bylaws. • Colvin will work on a draft and send to members before the next HPC meeting. 4. DRB Bennington Music School Signage, 128 North Street. Attached, please find the memo to Daniel Monks with comments from HPC in regard to the Bennington Music School signage. 5. Other Preservation Issues Bugbee will work with Isselhardt in regard to the wording for the plaque for CAT TV 625 Main Street. Yorke, Bugbee & Isselhardt are on the Heritage & History committee (BBC). They are trying to encourage to other groups ie, State meetings, Downtown meetings and Preservation Trust meetings to happen in Bennington.
