Downtown Welcome Center
Better Bennington Corporation urges you to stop at the Downtown Welcome Center on Route 7 (corner South & Elm Streets) open 9-5, Monday through Saturday. Outside, a blue flag-banner with the words "Downtown Welcome Center" identifies the building.
- Located in a National Register Historic Building, the Welcome Center was an old blacksmith shop and includes the original fireplace. An information desk, manned by a trained docent, provides personal service for your visit to Bennington.
- A large Map Directory serves to locate all downtown shops, restaurants and accommodations.
- Brochure racks in the entranceway will hold information on the historic, cultural and retail attractions of downtown and the surrounding region.
- Relax in an armchair as you plan your stay in Bennington. Send everyone who wants to know about downtown to the Downtown Welcome Center or call 802-442-5758.
The Downtown Welcome Center also serves as a gallery with changing exhibits featuring artists from the Bennington area. Adjacent are the new memorial garden that can be enjoyed by all.
