Downtown Welcome Center

Bennington Downtown Welcome Center

Better Bennington Corporation urges you to stop at the Downtown Welcome Center on Route 7 (corner South & Elm Streets) open 9-5, Monday through Saturday. Outside, a blue flag-banner with the words "Downtown Welcome Center" identifies the building.

Located in a National Register Historic Building, the Welcome Center was an old blacksmith shop and includes the original fireplace. An information desk, manned by a trained docent, provides personal service for your visit to Bennington.

A large Map Directory serves to locate all downtown shops, restaurants and accommodations.

Brochure racks in the entranceway will hold information on the historic, cultural and retail attractions of downtown and the surrounding region.

Relax in an armchair as you plan your stay in Bennington. Send everyone who wants to know about downtown to the Downtown Welcome Center or call 802-442-5758.

The Downtown Welcome Center also serves as a gallery with changing exhibits featuring artists from the Bennington area. Adjacent are the new memorial garden that can be enjoyed by all.
